Drug Abuse Resistance Education

D.A.R.E.

D.A.R.E. is a collaborative effort by DARE certified law enforcement officers, educators, students, parents, and community to offer an educational program in the classroom to prevent or reduce drug abuse and violence among children and youth. The emphasis of the program is to help students recognize and resist the many direct and subtle pressures that influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalants, or other drugs or to engage in violence.

Country Isles Elementary is lucky to have Deputy Roberts as our School Resource Officer (S.R.O.) and DARE instructor. He has over 10 years experience working in Broward's Schools and their youth!

In addition to the Dare Program, Deputy Roberts works with our fourth graders through the G.R.E.A.T. Program. GREAT stands for Gang Resistance Education and Training; a nationally recognized gang resistance program taught in forty-eight (48) states by uniformed law enforcement officers.

Be sure to check out our DARE Kids Link below to play games, create posters, or to just find out more about the DARE Program. Terms and Conditions apply to this site.
